There are several churches and places of worship in Arguineguin depending on your faith. The Catholic church Iglesia de la Nuestra Señora de Arguineguin underwent a much needed refurbishment in 2012, including the main square (Plaza Perez Galdos) in front of the church.
Plaza Perez Galdos which has a children’s play park and benches is a main gathering place of the village. Aside from the regular mass, funerals, weddings and communions, many events are held here throughout the year including the Fiestas del Carmen, farmers markets, comic con and Christmas events including an open air New Years Eve party and 3 Kings Parade.
Over on the beach promenade you will find the Den Norske Sjømannskirken or Norwegian Seaman’s Church of Arguineguin. Not only is this place of worship popular for prayer but it also has a cafe where you can enjoy views of the beach and on a clear day Mount Teide as you enjoy the infamous waffles and coffee.
The Jehovas Witness Kingdom Hall of Arguineguin also known as Salon Del Reino Arguineguín is at the end of Calle Princesa Tenesoya by Max Coop supermarket.
